...They had three staff members who were always available for questions and kept me thoroughly updated on the litter we were adopting from! We adopted our puppy a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with him :) Thanks again for all the help with this adoption process! ...They really work with you to make sure it is a good fit for both the humans and the dogs! Once we went through the application process, we met a dog which wasn’t a good fit for us, although a great dog for someone. They listened to what we were looking for and touched base with us with another pup coming up from the south! That was Jack and he is just perfect! Wendy is incredibly responsive and you won’t feel like you are alone in the process. Second Hand Rescue is doing amazing work!!!

I appreciated that they really took the time to understand the dog's needs and my own, they matched us up so well! Duncan has been a great addition to the family, but as a new pet owner I had some questions when I first brought him home. Wendy at SHDR was incredibly kind and understanding. She was quick to respond to my messeges and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a dog. The women who helped me were going above and beyond to care for these animals despite chaos during the covid-19 pandemic. Forever Grateful for my fur baby!
